I'm flying from Amsterdam to Chicago next week with United airlines and want to bring my Phantom 4. I couldn't find a drone policy on their site. Also I'm flying from Chicago to Toronto with Air Canada. So I change in the US. Do I need to register my drone for that?

Currently, as long as you fly recreationally and follow the rules for RC aircraft you don't need to register with the FAA at all anymore (Thanks to a legal case recently).

Those rules are available online but are mostly common sense. Not near aircraft/airports, not on people's heads, not in no fly zones, don't be an idiot, don't try and fly up to the jet stream, etc...

I flew to China and Southeast Asia. Many flights. No one asked anything. Just make sure you carry it on. Because of battery. They will not even question you.
