The proposed bill - to be published in spring 2018 - would insure that owners of drones weighing more than 250g would need to register and sit a test.
Personally I am all for it in principle, but not happy with the government plans on of forcing manufacturers to produce virtual barriers further than they already are eg restricted areas.
Other than the large drones, I cannot see how the police will have the time or manpower to enforce the new law.
You read on here day in and day out of people crashing and losing their drones due to their own fault! Yet there is no requirement mentioned for having personal liberty insurance!
