Also with some devices, the plugging in of USB cables sometimes the correct mode on the device must be selected.

On the device plug in the usb, pull down device screen menu/usb option, change mode/option.

Update......ended up sending drone back after trying everything discussed.....recieved new P4pro and upgraded firmware as requested and works great! Yeahhhhh Thanks again for all your help and tips....flying in beginner mode learning the basics and having a blast!
