Great Idea. Quick deployment of floatation device while waiting for lifeguard to get out there. Wonder if it could also bring a line / rope out to drowning person that could then be pulled in back to shore.
This thing better be way over powered for it to be useful. The floatations device is a sail and it is often windy on beaches.
What is the max wind speed this can operate in?
Won't work. Even if they added a down camera, I doubt they could get within ten feet of a drowning person, and a panicked swimmer usually can't grasp a life ring thrown right next to them.
OTOH, I'll bet they raise their Kickstarter funding.
