nice idea, but you'd have to drop it pretty much into their hands which wouldn't be easy??

It would take FPV looking straight down to accurately drop the life raft thing.

This thing better be way over powered for it to be useful. The floatations device is a sail and it is often windy on beaches.
What is the max wind speed this can operate in?

Won't work. Even if they added a down camera, I doubt they could get within ten feet of a drowning person, and a panicked swimmer usually can't grasp a life ring thrown right next to them.
OTOH, I'll bet they raise their Kickstarter funding.
