taking DJI phantom 2 plus on board air craft

Buy a suitable flight case (viewtopic.php?f=27&t=18819), make sure you have sufficient accessories (batteries, charger adaptors, SD cards, SD card adaptors, connecting leads, etc) then either book her in as in hold luggage or some cases are suitable size as cabin luggage (preferred I would say - dependant on carrier).

I would check with the airline as most will NOT allow the batteries in checked luggage.

As long as the case fits their carry-on dimensions, there is no problem taking it in the cabin. I call it camera equipment.

TSA recommends battery-safe (fire-proof) bags for LiPo batteries, but TSA doesn't impact AU or EU (does it?) I have no idea about other country's security/safety requirements/inspections.
