Thanks to the OP - I bought one and did a number of flights with it and my Nexus 10. While it's nice, I went back to the S3 today and I think it's better. Probably a 7" tablet is the sweet spot.

What is the standard size? Diameter?

Works with my tradecraft case as well..just had to cut a notch in the foam so the holder could fit. http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Univ ... let+holder

Also how much clearer is the video when displayed on either of the two?
2013 has twice the ram and better resolution.flyNfrank said:F6Rider said:The video on my Nexus 7 (quad-core) is a lot better than the iPhone 5 I was using, besides being of course larger (old eyes) the wi-fi on the nexus is very fast, almost no noticable latency in the video from the camera. Ok thanks for the info. I'm on my way now to get the nexus 7. Btw, I'm guessing you guys are using the newer 2013 version and not the 2012?
Seahorse said:Yes - this is a match according to a different thread - I bookmarked the page ages ago, however our Kindle Fire is not man enough to play the video, so I suspect I will get a Nexus 7 at some point - Amazon.

I went yesterday and bought a Nexus 7 32gb(2013 verson) and have since tweaked the settings to my liking as well as adding my favorable android apps.
Per tizzl10 I ordered his recommended Tablet Holder with Ball Mount. $14.99

Per Skipholiday I ordered his recommended Sunshade Hood to be used with the tablet. $9.99

you can get the Nexus 7 2013 quad core, 2gb ram and 1920/1200 resolution for $209 shipped for the 16gb wifi version!Steve.p. said:seahorse the nexus 7 is quite expensive, my wife bought me a "Life pad" from Asda at xmas, its a lot cheaper and it works fine with the PV2, and its only about £70. I think it works on android 4.1 or 2.

Did the other mount work better? Any preference?webravager said:tizzl10 said:yeah you should have no issues mouting the air to the holder now that I think about it, however with the stock mount im not sure you will have clearance on the bottom of your ipad and the controls. you may have to move the bracket all the way towards the top of the controller. let me know how it turns out.
I bought the one you recommended and this one as well, since it adjusts the holder vertically which should allow clearance at the bottom of the iPad to keep it from overhanging the top of the controller and interfering with any of the controls, my only worry with this one will be if the ball mount is the wrong size.. and if worse goes to worse that will leave me with a good mount to use my iPad in my car:
