Range with New vs Old Controller

Hi guys,

I'm having range issues with my Vision+ RC controller. I have a Vision+ v2 and I have the transmitter set to FCC mode.

I was wondering if anyone has compared the new controller (with the gimbal control wheel) to the older version with regard to range. Does the newer 5.8GHz controller give better range or is it much the same.

It didn't on the Vision .Was the same with both for me .
