I'd like to return to the same location to take a photo several weeks/months later.

The DJI app can show height and LOS distance but I can see no way to get long/lat readout?

It's possible to do this in other ways (look down vertically to locate a point), but I thought I may be missing something obvious.

    TIA

I was thinking about that, a timelapse view of a scenic spot. My thoughts were to use my phone to get a long/lat and the phantom to show height. It should be reliable to within a few feet.

you might want to look at DJI Ultimate app.

it allows display on screen the current long and lat from the quad.

If you press the radar button on the bottom left on the DJI phone app the radar box that pops up shows the lon and lat just below the circle.

Thanks for that - didn't know about that feature. Is it in the docs and I missed it?
