Previous topics discussed the possibility, here's how to open up the battery in order to view / examaine / replace faulty swollen LiPo cells:

A couple of tips:
- If you put some tape over the button, it won't fly out when you get the top off. It'll also be already in place when you put the top back.
- When taking off the top, a vise like shown makes a lot of sense. But proceed by pushing the top away at a corner and working loose the clips progressively. It probably won't budge until you have at least two of them loose at the same time. But once it starts moving a bit, it all gets easier as you work your way around.
- Rather than cutting through the seams like shown, I found it easier to just pry at them and break the glue joints open.
