Purchase P4 or Range Extender for P3P

What should I do? I can't decide if it's worth spending $1300 for a P4 to get more range or purchase a range extender for my P3P. Has anyone been in a similar situation and just drop the coin for a P4? Based on what I can tell from reading the specs, $1300 may be a little steep for about twice the range.

The P3A and P4 range is the same per DJI's specs, so definitely go for the range extender.

1.5 miles is the best I can do without violating the 400' rule

But, at 1.5 miles out, you've already violated the FAA's "keep your UAS within sight" recommendation.
