Point of interest -- 500m limit?

Was going to poi a remote area and the app wouldn't let me saying something about 500m limit.. Is this a hard limit?

Also observation.. The poi takes some getting used to with the setup and the control during. Overall nice though.

Way points was way disappointing.. Also 500m limit.. No way to set coordinates in map but that's been discussed to death..

Sounds like you have your distance limit toggled on. There is no 500m limit w/ waypoints (there might be with POI but I haven't tried yet).

The way point screen says 500 m radius limit. I think this means that the next waypoint must be less than 500 m distant. Does anyone know for sure? Others have said that this means you must be within 500 m of the home point which would be very limiting. It would be easy to test.

Its my understanding 500m from homepoint is a DJI limit. Have not tested it but can easy enough.

According to the press release:
Flights set up using Ground Station can be up to 3.1 miles (5 km) in length, with a maximum altitude of 656 feet (200 m) and a maximum distance of 1,640 feet (500 m) from the controller.

So I stand corrected.
