I picked up the Phantom on the weekend and on demonstration of the unit with my GoPro Hero3 Silver edition before taking delivery, we noticed that by plugging the video transmitter into the GoPro USB port, with the camera already on or off, it turned the GoPro's WiFi on in "GoPro App" mode.
The only solution is to go into the camera menu, turn the WiFi off with the transmitter still plugged in and then use as normal.
We tried another GoPro and it didn't happen.
I gather there is either a problem with the USB port on the GoPro, something amiss with the video transmitter, or a setting in the GoPro that - on sensing a USB connection - turns the GoPro WiFi to "on".
It's a pain because evey time I remove and reinstall the GoPro, I have to fiddle around with the menu to turn WiFi off.
Any ideas?
