Is there a way to prevent manual pitch inertia? You know, that effect where you move the camera tilt a little bit in the app and it just keeps going.

Go into the Phantom Assistant software
Under NAZA-M go to ADVANCED
Select GIMBAL

At the bottom you will see a box for manual tilt speed. I am running between 25 and 30. Change it and hit enter.
Thanks for the tip, but I tried it every where from 10 to 100 and it seems to make virtually no difference to the run on effect.

Should I be worried? I got the tracking info for my Taco, and it shows it was processed into the US and then processed into a USPS facility on April 29th, and it's been in transit to me since then. Seems like a long time in transit! Maybe I'm just getting too anxious! ;)

Since I had gotten worried and looked it up, things have sped up and its out for delivery to my house as I type this!

Finally got my Taco running. I believe I shorted out the P2V main board when foolishly plugging in the camera with power. I had to order and replace the board and now all is working. I have not tweaked the Taco settings beyond what is in the OP profile. I am going to add the earplugs as I am getting jello and vibes, especially in much wind. Here is my first test flight. I jerked the P2V around a bit to test the gimbal. You'll occasionally see some props as I pitch and roll quickly. All in all, I am pleased with the gimbal. Thanks to all that post info here! http://vimeo.com/93798133

What are the shooter ear plugs you guys are using?

I was about to ask a similar question. Could anyone please post a picture of the ear shooters? I'd also love to see a picture of an installed shooter. Thanks.

My Taco was delivered yesterday and I installed it on my bird after I got home from work. While showing it off to my wife (hand held, not in flight) it seemed to have some issues coming back on center and moving a little bit after the Phantom itself had stopped moving. This morning I installed the BaseCam software on my work computer and made some of the small changes described in Slackers post and it seems to be returning on center very nicely. There are some noises coming from it that sound like a soft grinding. I'm thinking its the motors doing their thing and I hope a little motor noise is normal.

Wish me luck, I'm about to go outside of my office and do a compass calibration and then a test flight!

ETA:
With the V3 version of the Taco, am I supposed to be able to do a 6-point IMU calibration? I pulled the cover off the IMU and it looks to be stuck onto the shell with double-sided tape. I'm a little hesitant to pull it off the tape.

I did not do a 6-point calibration. Mine works fine.

So I'm grounded. It says I'm logging into my range extender, but I cannot connect to the camera. I did a pairing, and it says it paired successfully, then dropped my wifi connection. So right now I can with pair the camera and the range extender or log into the range extender, but I cannot do both. HELP!

So I've gotten it all working and I'm no longer grounded! It turned out the video cable from the gimbal to the camera wasn't pushed all of the way in. I figured this out after I uninstalled the Taco gimbal and was reinstalling the stock hardware. I stopped what I was doing and reinstalled the Taco gimbal, calibrated the compas, and went outside for a test flight. Here is the quick video:

That's twice I read that people have jumped through hoops to figure out their 4 pin jack is connected. Has something changed to make it difficult to connect? Should I update OP?

Mine fits fairly loose. I had it come loose after 2 flights. Figured it out pretty quickly and put a tiny dab of Goop on it to hold it in place.

Thanks!
