I live on a lake and there will lots of fireworks on the 4th so was wondering what settings on camera may be best, or simply video? I was wondering about time lapse pictures and aperture settings as I have not played with this at night. Thanks for any advice you have!

I'd stick with video (4k) and auto settings, you can do more with video, pull stills, do a hyper-lapse:

Keep in mind that stills (even pulled from 4K) are no 20MP stills. I only shoot video but if I wanted good size stills I would definitely snap pictures instead of rolling video. Also, for what it's worth... auto for video is not advisable if you really want good footage. The P4P on auto notoriously sets the shutter speed crazy high to compensate for low light. I suggest setting the shutter to 1/50th (for 24fps), 100 ISO (or 200 depending on how dark it is) and iris wide open. That gives me perfect fireworks video.
