P3 Standard Inspire Mount - Tablet Question

Hey folks,

First and foremost, thanks in advance for this tremendous resource as it related to drone flying. I've been able to answer a lot of my questions already on here by searching.

I recognize that the stock device holder is only for a phone, so I ordered:

I plan on installing this tomorrow. I was able to get my hands on a 9.7" iPad, but being the worry wart I am, I want to keep it protected with a case. So, two questions:

1) Will this 9.7" iPad fit in the above mount?
2) Are there any cases that I can keep on the iPad while it sits on that above mount? I feel like everything I've ready and seen shows a naked iPad free of any kind of case.

I have the Inspire tablet mount installed on my remote. With the jaws fully extended there is 6.5" between the jaws. I use an Ipad mini 2 with a thin clear case which is 5.5" wide. So measure the width of your tablet and if it is under 6.5" you should be ok. I hope this helps.
