Has anyone tested the range of the P3 yet? Curious how far we maybe able to expect. I know DJI states 1 mile but wonder what real life test are showing?

    1 mile? I thought it was 2.1.

Some people were getting around 2 miles with pre-release models. It looks like DJI is very conservative in what they claim with the range. Personally I live in a valley with a lot of houses and trees so I don't plan on testing the max range any time soon.

I tested it in a suburban area surrounded by trees and averaged 1700 to 2000 feet, which I think is pretty good for what I considered to be pretty bad conditions. Much better than range than what I got flying my P2 + in the same area. Hoping to test it in more rural areas during the weekend. Overall I'm very impressed with the P3 and the DJI Pilot App..

Max distance was 19,410 feet, or 3.6 miles. Windsurfer antenna mod helped. Without a battery mod, going any further would be difficult.
