Three years ago my Chevy Van caught fire. I was on a service call, parked under a church's covered parking. Right behind the customers car. My van was totaled, it damaged the church and the other car. My insurance company paid me for my van within about 10 days to 2 weeks. However, I had several recorded calls from investigators about what happened. Had I modified the van or had any recent work done on it etc. I'm sure if they could find any reason to not pay the claim, they would have jumped on it. I even heard from a forensics specialists asking about some strange wiring they found. I suspect I could have been denied, or worse, charged with insurance fraud, had there been any. They eventually paid for the church and car damage as well. In fact, they did a great job. Liberty Mutual.
Read your policies because that's what they go by. BTW, a couple of days after the fire, I receive my first Phantom 2 vision from amazon. I didn't even open it for 2 days I was so bummed...
