Octocopter and a Naza M?

I was under the impression that an A2 flight controller was needed for an octocopter but Helipal has a combo kit listed here http://www.helipal.com/tarot-t18-octocopter-combo.html that uses a Naza V2. So I guess it works? I am bored and would like to start a new project for the winter building a octocopter......
Anyone flying an octo with a NAZA V2 how is it working?

A stand alone Naza v2 will handle an Octo OK. But not sure about a Phantom Naza though- I doubt it.

Yep, Naza-M V2 is fine for flat or X8 octo configs. A Phantom Naza (taken off a P2) will not, since you can't access the motor mixer screen in the Phantom Assistant.
