I just bought a P2 shell from a reputable on line retailer and it seems to be a lighter grade of plastic and less rigid than the P2 Plus shell I'm replacing. I'm going to send it back but want to make sure that the next one I order is the better plastic. Any thoughts?

Seems?
How do you expect the vendor to respond to 'seems'?
Are you judging this before the halves are attached?

It was in their used/open box dept. I took off the top shell to start the replacement and immediately noticed the difference.

I have replaced mine twice and not because of damage and shell halves are flexible but once together it is ridged.

I took off the top of the damaged shell and compared the 2, and the new one appears cheaper, and the box was really old

Better make sure it's for a P2 and not a P1. Big difference between them. By the way, where do you live??

Philly. It's a P2 shell, thanks, decided to go with it. Replacing it now.

When you finish connect to the P2 assistant and do an advanced IMU calibration on a level surface.
