I thought running a LiPo down below 20% of its total capacity was a no-no if you want max life out of the battery. 3% sounds like it would guarantee the early demise of the cells. Or is my understanding outdated?
I thought you had to be real carful of that too. Maybe they are willing to sacrafice a battery to prove a point.
Anyway, it says in the manual to run it down to 8% every once in a while, so don't know.
In any case, 20 or more minutes is certainly long enough for me.
Me too. My prior R/C experience with pattern and scale planes taught me that 12 or so minutes was the limit of my ability to concentrate and fly well. After that, I'd get sloppy.
In any case, I don't possibly see me flying for more than 10 minutes at a time, bringing it down and letting the motors cool. More than enough battery to entertain myself and those around me.
