Well, actually 2460 AUW, incl CM3000 3 axis gimbal and GoPro.
After experimenting a lot with my Phantom 1.2, and not being satisfied I decided to build a bigger quad.
Its a 680mm T'ish frame, (not T enough unfortunately) with 30a Afro ESC's (simonk), Sunnysky 2814-11 KV 700 motors and currently 12x3.8 props. 4s 6000mah Batteries.
I bought a NAZA M-Lite, but after a few flights (Naza Lite has horrible take off behavior with this quad) I put my Phantom NAZA in.
I had to calibrate the 4s voltage, NAZA gave 17.2 while the full battery was of course 16.8v.
Set the voltage warnings to 14.4 and 13.5
So, "technically" its a Phantom, with the V-Sen and compass/gps of the NAZA lite.
Flight Time is 15 mins. Still have 250-350 grams left, so could go for bigger batteries some day.
Longer flight times are nice, but what I really hoped for; a more stable platform; not yet. Need better props, and tune gains.
(Tried some 12x6 CF props, but they halved (!) flight time and gave hot motors)
Is it worth it? No. I try better props, and if it doesn't work out, I may get me a P2 with H3-3D.
Oh, how does it fly? Like a Phantom 1. Maybe a bit more solid, but still too many vibes.
