Mode change from 2 to 1 on new NDJ6 Phantom transmitter

Hi All,
I had a Phantom 1, and changed from mode 2 to mode 1 with no trouble at all.
I have just bought a Phantom 2 with the new NDJ6 transmitter, and can't find out how to change stick mode. It's not like the old transmitter. I've tried my retail supplier (they didn't know), I've tried DJI (they didn't reply), and I've searched the good old internet (and not found a thing).
If anyone could help, I would be eternally grateful, as I'm bursting to get my Phantom 2 flying so that I can experience more than my usual five minute Phantom 1 flights.

I believe you change that setting by plugging the RC itself into your computer via USB, and running RC Assistant (not Phantom Assistant). pretty sure you can then toggle mode 2 / mode 1
