Made it 11000 ft on my argtek mount and alfa antennas

This is my attempt for the first time with the alphas.

Very dissapointed, especially considering it is a pretty much open field with just grapevines and orange trees. My stock antenna I got over 500m last week. I have checked everything inside the controller again and again and all looks fine

X2 on the Amazon 10db Omnis. I've gotten 1 mile on those and the ARGtek 5.8 10db in an open area. I can average 3000 ft with 4000ft range on a good day in my wifi heavy neighborhood surrounded by trees.

Get the MagicPower mod and set the power to 27dbm. This only extends video range though.

Can you buy Alfa antennas where you are located?

Yes I can get them delivered in 2-3 days. If I order the DBS from America it's 2 weeks delivery and with shipping and import costs works out about £130.00 ($160.00) I have the Artec setup and have had flights upto 1500 meters but sometimes as little as 300 meters! Where I live there are no big buildings or built up areas.

Awesome, now just gotta hunt one for the control (5.8). I will try the alphas first, hopefully today and see how annoyed I get at trying to aim the controller at the bird.

Use a 90 degree connector. The blue cable is stiff and can be reformed. Saw it on a post here, but I can not find the pic.

No. Directional type. Not bad to do. I use a lanyard to support RC.

With a 90 degree connector elbow. See pic I found on the forum. I haven't received it yet.
