What is the largest physical size battery that will fit inside of the Phantom.

    I've seen some 2200 mah, 45c for $19.99 and they are 112mm X 36mm X 26mm and 201g
Seems a little longer and heavier than others with lower C-rating.

Just r mod it for fitting and securing with velcro tape or replace your stock battery door with a higher one:

Do you have a larger battery tested? One that would resolve "battery door modding" from Shapeways
    Any results?

My Hyperion 2500 mAh at 106x34x27 mm will fit with stock battery door.
I just test fit to see if your 36 mm will fit and it should.
I'd say that the maximum width is 36 mm and the height is at 27 mm.
As for the length, you can get away with several modifications.
You don't need the 45C for Phantom though.
I also have the 2200 aMh NanoTech A-Spec with 65-130C rating at 105x35x35mm and it fit too.
The benefit of higher C-rate pack: better climb rate (more punch) and when you get the low voltage warning, you will have more time (30 seconds or so when I tested it) than the lower C-rate packs before it lands itself.
