Some folks are manually walking / driving a flight path to check for possible obstructions (wirelines, tall trees, etc.) before taking their drone out for a flight on that path. This is especially important for longer flights where your FPV may experience latency or you lose the FPV connection entirely.

This data is super valuable for our community -- it's basically our version of Google Maps for drones. I wish we could build a database with all these 'kosher' flight paths, so that anybody in our community could re-use these flight paths.

Would anybody else want be interested in using this data?

You could certainly do this using Google maps - create the map and make it public.

Geocaching.com has a feature that doe something similar for caching. You make a route and save it for public.
