No. It is a private network with the RC being the router and the P3, Camera and your phone/tab as clients. There is no internet connection involved at all

Oh. I thought that sense you can connect to the wifi that you could use it. I don't have one, I was just wondering. If I had one I would try it.

Wifi is simply a method of wireless communication. Despite its common usage as such, it's not synonymous with an internet connection.
