HySight Pearl 7" - Anyway to not letterbox ?

I have tried 4:3 and 16:9 settings on the Pearl 7" monitor. 4:3 squashes viewing into the center of the screen. !6:9 letterboxes, with black, non-viewing bands top and bottom. Is there a setting, either in my GoPro Hero 3+ or something I am unaware of (using the ImmersionRC 600mw 5g8 TX) to fill out the viewing area ?
