I found this in some "Civil Engineering Research Magazine" (CERM), Al-Azhar University, Vol.26, No. 1, January 2004 entitled "Digital Compass, Is it error Free?"
"The mobile phone has a great effect on the compass reading and it causes a big error (up to 35º) when it was very close or adjacent to the compass sensor. This error decreases rapidly till it reaches zero at a distance about 25 cm. (~10 inches.)"
So maybe tethering to my Hotlink cell phone to the iPad isn't so hot an idea if it can throw the compass off since it is in my pocket and the ipad and RC is pretty close to it?
Pondering if maybe getting that SIM card with a data plan shoved into the iPad Air 2 and if this could be a interference problem down the road with hotlinking and the cellular phone nearby.
Ideas?
