Here's one for you, gimble fries and goes up in smoke

Sure, the battery COULD have done that, but it is unlikely. The most likely explanation is that something just failed in the system and toasted another component. **** happens....
 
My Phantom 3 SE was knocked down by a bird, it fell and the camera was twisted, with the hand I straightened it and when trying it, it continued working. I kept it for about 20 days and when I turned it on, it gave off a burnt smell and then I saw smoke coming out of the gimbal.

When I see the comments, I think that my final card also does not work.
