Fpv goggle options to plug into ipad

What are the options for goggles to plug into the ipad or iPhone
I have never tried goggles is it worth getting some ?
Do most of you just use the iPhone or ipad ?

I use the iPad Mini Retina and purchased the adapter from iPad Mini to HDMI. You can use goggles with HDMI input, sucha s the Cinemizer or get an adapter from HDMI to composite video

This would be great if you could plug in some goggles! But I thought I read elsewhere that you couldn't do this , or it was a major hassle.
