Another scenario is to shut off the opposite motor, apply as much power as possible while adding yaw for stability and softening the impact.
No guarantees though.
Yes, maybe everything is possible but not with the Phantom in his current presence and his standard motors.
The OP is about a Phantom.

After I posted that I thought it would yaw but by itself without control. That may be a good thing. If only two opposite motors were lifting, it would want to tilt to either one of the downed motors. But if it is constantly yawing it might try to stay level enough to get it to ground providing two rotors could even keep it in the air and gyro didnt freak out.N017RW said:Monte55 said:Even if two props ....opposite corners of quad could lift the craft or at least slow the decent and the odd motor shut down, how could the quad yaw at all to provide any level attitude if the two working motors are turning the same direction
It would Yaw uncontrollably by nature of both (remaining) motors spinning in the same direction.
Are you saying you have done this.?BWJ said:Try to take off one prop and start up, it can lift and fly, but not stable like normal, - have tryed indoor.

Any videos of this happening that you guys have seen?

No quadcopter can fly nor land safely with only 3 motors.
The only way it goes is ....down.

Would be awesome though if it was possible with the Phantom.
I did had a crash caused by a motor failure.
