Flew the Phantom 1 with Feiyu-Tech gimbal and GoPro 3 attached using Vision props and Maddog 2700 battery. It was 40 degrees and mostly smooth flying in calm conditions. I got 12 minutes until the first red lights and landed with 11.2 volts in the battery. Total weight was 1119g.

Nice, right in line with what mine do for me, maybe even a little better. Do you happen to know what the Feiyu gimbal weighs on its own?

Was it 11.2v right when you landed, or after it had some time to bounce back?

    Nice.
My P1.5 gets around 17ish minutes with a 5400mah landing with 11.2v. So with half the battery you're looking good.

The website lists the weight as 178g. but that includes the original mounts. The new Phantom mount should be lighter. Next time I have it dismounted, i will weigh it.
The 11.2 was less than a minute after landing. Walked straight into the garage, pulled the battery and checked it with the meter.
Next I want to mount my video transmitter and see what flight time I can get.

12 mins is right in line, good results! The vtx doesn't draw much, it should not have an appreciable effect on your flight times.

I think Dewey has the Feiyu gimbal, he weighed it at just over 180g iirc, with the rail mounts.

Dont know anything about this gimbal, but its supposed to weight 140g and cost is $140.
I'm trying to decide on a gimbal as well.

edit, This gimbal kinda looks like a piece o' junk...
    Feiyu tech is looking good.

Very, VERY, interesting. Why? Because I just ordered vision props and a Mad Dog battery from 2dogrc and talked to the owner, Mark, today about what gimbal he recommends. So which did he recommend? Lets read:

    Thanks Mark!

If the battery is as good as everyone says it is I'll be buying several more from you guys! Excellent service too.

I'm also looking for a gimbal for my phantom 1. What's the best/lightest under $200? Not sure if you have a recommendation.

    Well,
I like Feiyu Gimbal we have because there is no computer setup. I have it on my QAV and made some videos on Youtube. We have these enroute to us and should be here this week.
