First day with new P3 Pro and faced with hoard of Issue!

So finally convinced the fiancee and pulled a trigger on a P3 Pro. Delivered today, charged up remote and battery and thats when all the issues started.

Issue #1: Firmware Update

• Formatted the SD card, copied latest FW v1.8.80 and restarted the P3. Update failed...tried at least 10 times, still failed.
• Trying to upgrade to v1.7.006 doesn't work as well. Always fails.
• Finally gave up and went to the Controller, update fine though the app

Issue #2: No Signal

• No matter what I do, lightbridge transmission to the table is a no go!

Also appears the P3 was already on 1.8.80 because in the app menus i see this:
App: 2.8.0
RC: 1.6.0
AC: 1.8.80

Hoping to take it out and do some flying today but not looking likely.

Any help would be...well helpful!

in the picture you post the usb cable appears to be connected to the camera(gimbal) usb port vs the main controller usb on body of quad.

at top right of your screen grab see the words " connected to camera usb "

I found a similar thread on the Inspire forum here. It appears you might have an issue with the video transmission module. I'd suggest you contact DJI support.

Check the 2 gray cables that go to the gimbal. If u can disconnect and reconnect them sometimes it's helps

That is a great suggestion, I found a thread on another forum on this and painstakingly popped out the connector and re-seated them. It worked after that! Was able to reset the P3 to factory and update the FW to 1.8.80. FPV transmission works fine now on both iOS and android.

I found a similar thread on the Inspire forum here. It appears you might have an issue with the video transmission module. I'd suggest you contact DJI support.

Is it worth sending to DJI for a replacement given I am still within 7 days. Is it possible the transmission module could still be faulty? On the other hand, I've heard enough about how horrendous DJI's support is so might not be worth the effort.

It sounds like you found the issue. One of the gimbal cables was loose.

It actually wasn't loose. Only thing I did was remove and reconnected. It just happened to be the last variable I changed when the issue got resolved
