Dynamically update the POI GPS for DJI A2?

Is there a way to use the ground control application to automatically update the GPS position the POI functionality is pointing at? I'm thinking the GPS is collected at some interval on the tablet and then uploaded at some other interval to the DJI A2.

If this isn't possible, are there any white papers, spec sheets, or API breakdown of how I can write my own ground control app for the DJI A2? OR perhaps another Phantom product that has such functionality?
