Here is the first available video of Phantom flight tracked with the DronePhone GPS Tracker system. A Nokia 521 phone mounted on the drone sends position updates over the 4G network to a server in the cloud, and on a PC the DronePhone Map Client lets you monitor the real-time position of the drone during flight.

The Nokia's on-board 720p video camera recorded this video while the position updates were simultaneously being sent to the server. I apologize for the lower quality video...the free editor I use to make picture-in-picture videos isn't the best, but this video does show the concept nicely.

Was wondering how you got the server up in the cloud and then what happens if it moves or is sunny.

The packets are routed to the server day or night, rain or shine, thanks to Al Gore.
