FAA believes 2/3 of the drones required to be registered, have not been.

Up to a $27,000 fine for unregistered drone, as per their website.

Even more of a deterrent NOT to register their drones. No paper trail or identifying numbers leading back to the owner.

I can hear them now....."is that MY drone?.....what's a drone?...." Then the fun really begins when DJI is subpoenaed for the activation information on the bird......and flight logs from the encrypted internal memory cards.

It might be a toy or micro drone, under .55lbs. Might me the Syma X5 C - I had a helluva time keeping track of mine at the park ;P
