Deletes old firmware before installing new

I deleted the old firmware and installing the new one. Taking 45 minutes now supposed to take 25. Should I stop and put the previous firmware on the bird then the new or just keep waiting? Making a ton of beeps like it supposed to . Long beep, beep beep, pause long beep, beep beep over and over
