In the next week or so I'll be using a P4P to fly a greenfield project site with no visible markers to tie back to the project areas of interest. I have ArcGIS shapefiles (both points and lines) of the different areas that I want to grab photos and videos of. In the past I've brought kml files into a Litchi waypoint mission and used those as markers to ensure that I'm in the right area.
Does anyone have experience with other software options that will allow me to create more of a custom background map (import shapefiles, maybe pdf overlays, etc.) so I can see the drones location in relation to proposed project areas of interest?
