Not sure if this is a glitch or normal, I am a new user. The drone does not take the same path home as ot took to get there... mine almost it into power cords today... and trees yesterday as it shot way up... then came home... how does this work... if it always does that it can only be used in wide open spaces.

Thanks in advance for your help.

It is going to take the most direct path back to the home point. Make sure your RTH height is set higher then any other obstacles that may be in the way (trees, buildings, etc.)

if your flying below your rth height you have set when it goes into rth will climb to that height if above what you set will come back at that height always set it high enough to clear everything I have mine at 240 feet

Okay great.... so... if I set at 240... and it's out of sight.... there is always a chance it can hit something above (i.e. telephone line etc.) If I am not there to see it correct? Sorry for the lack of knowledge here..

Set your RTH altitude to at least 50 feet higher than the tallest known obstacle and all should be fine.

Yes .. that's how it works.
You have to consider this when flying an be aware of the potential if you are flying below obstacles.
