Is there another way to charge the remote other then using your computer with the USB cable?

Any USB power will do - any phone charger unit with a USB out

Great. When I asked DJI, they said to use the computer.

Well that's what I use. I use an iPhone converter. I'm sure you can over-do it with a high voltage converter. Just use common sense choosing your converter. Like Paulsouthport said, any phone USB converter will do.
