You can see it tucked neatly in the back of the case. A wood cutting sawzall blade and ten minutes and viola! It all fits. Even the smaller DBS antenna works in to the case. Now I even have all the power cords in there too!

Sorry, the battery holder is a zippered bag front and center. Just outside of the frame. It will hold 6 batteries.

Problem is the soft case.... These antennas don't like to be knocked around. You'll have 500' of range of you slam it too hard

I doubt it, its a piece of plastic covering a circuit board, the antenna though is sensitive but not that fragile. Remember, airplanes have antennas sticking up handling all sorts of G's and forces
 
The antenna its self is that sensitive! Next time you fly, get out a mile and give the antenna a firm tap... You're video will flicker! One time my iPad fell on to the top of the maxx range antenna and it lost all signal for a minute
