I am a newby to this hobby and I have a house on the coast (albeit not as populist as where you filmed) and I want to stay within the rules & regs. I noticed you pretty well stayed over water except when going to the beach. Please elaborate on what is permissible in these circumstances. I would like to film some porpoises that are playing near shore. Thanks, Hennry
From what I understand it is legal to fly up to 400ft AGL. I try to take off vertically until I reach at least 100ft AGL. From there I try to stay between 200 and 400 ft. According to FAA guidelines that is the area that is approved for UAV flights.
