I just noticed that the Zenmuse H3-2D is recharging GoPro. I dont know how much this lowers my flight times, but I would be glad if I could stop it from recharging.

If GoPro gets enough juice from the Phantom, maybe I could fly without the GoPro battery, increasing the flight time? The problem in this scenario is that after the gimbal is armed, I wouldnt want to press the record button as it might cause stress to the gimbals motors (you cant press it without causing stress to gimbal motors).

Anyone know the solution?

Just make sure your GoPro battery is charged before you take off. That way there's no need for the Phantom to supply anything more than a small amount of power.
Also, pressing record with the gimbal armed is fine. Well, I've been doing it since I first got an H3-2D ages ago and I've not had any issues. The trick is to hold the GoPro so you don't put any torque on it.

Taking the battery out of the GoPro is a no-go by the way as it will upset the balance of the gimbal due to the reduced weight.
