Title says it all. Can I use a 2.4ghz amplifier (works in between antenna and transmiter/receiver) to boost a 5.8ghz, rather than a 2.4ghz signal, if it is advertised as 2.4ghz?
No. The amplifier will have a tailored response so that it does not amplify out of band signals and 5.8GHz is a heck of a lot higher frequency than 2.4Ghz. The difference is 2400,00000 Hz apart!! (I think I got the zeros right )
