This is the way I understand it. The Phantom 3 Advanced has a 1/2.3" CMOS sensor that measures 6.3mm x 4.72mm. The REAL focal length = 3.64 mm and the 35mm equiv = 20mm.

Phantom 4 Pro has a 20mp camera with 1" CMOS sensor that measures 13.20mm x 8.80mm. The REAL focal length = 9.16mm while the 35mm equiv = 24mm.

So because the focal length is larger on the P4 Pro, the effecitve GSD is not that much better. See my little comparison table attached. Can anyone weigh in here? Or point me in the right direction?

Figured it out. I neglected to take into account the larger image size (20mp vs. 12mp) The new comparison table is attached.

Well while I had almost no clue what you were talking about your first post helped me for when I stitch panos together. Options I had were use numbers from file, estimate or unknown. Going to try to use these and see if it comes out any better
