Bluetooth connection slow

So, I just hooked up my ground station to Phantom 2 and iPad Retina Mini. I can connect via Bluetooth from ground portion to iPad but it takes about 3 minutes before it recognizes the bluetooth connection. Is this normal? Any suggestions? Is this because you can only connect to bluetooth once satellites are locked in? I was doing all of this indoors.

Mine is fairly instant using my iPad Air.

I flashed the firmware several more times and then tried again and it's working perfectly now.

Question. I have a Dell Laptop that has bluetooth in it , i wondering if it will connect to the ground station like the ipad .

Just use the USB cable. It powers it and talks to it via the special USB cable it comes with. Not sure if the PC app utilizes bluetooth or not.
