Interestingly though, not a single verified, substantiated picture for proof or video showing a single "drone" over the highway fire the news was insinuating prevented the authorities from doing their job. They do mention that an individual was caught but not prosecuted. The news also stated that he/she also has been caught numerous times before for similar violations. They also contend that he/she/they can be fined $25K. for such a violation. Well, if this person was caught numerous times in the past for the same violations where's the fine!? More so, according to the Photographer's/Videographer's rights; it's LEGAL for ANYONE to photograph or videograph a police or fire dept. in action.
John Nance an aviation expert said, (His quote summarized) "...they have to be caught red-handed and PROVE they were flying in the area in question."
My biggest problem with the report? Why did the authorities waste 30 minutes to act? They claimed it was because the "drones" were in the area and they couldn't do their job?? Seriously? You couldn't save a life or property because you had to WAIT 30 minutes for the "drone(s)" to get out of the way!? Bull S with a HIT at the end! Nothing more than someone NOT doing their job and using "drones" for getting in the way as a SCAPEGOAT!
