Anyone else get the front of the lens off?

why would anyone want to get the front of the lens off.?

To place a ND Filter behind the glass. Another post goes into detail on how to go about putting a ND filter in place.

I am waiting for some enterprising fellow to make a screw on ND filter to take the place of the clear lens. Maybe a ND-2, ND-4 and an ND-8 set.
