I recently purchased a P3A which has 2k video. I can upload 2k videos onto youtube straight from my mac and they can be viewed on youtube with the 1440p option. The drawback is that I can't edit the video first. I have been trying to use iMovie but it doesn't give an option to output into 2k, only 1080p. Just to experiment, I uploaded a 4k video from my phone and it does give me the option to output into 4k from iMovie. So if I load a 4k video I can output in 4k. If I load a 2k video in iMovie it only gives me the option to output 1080p.
